Media Nerds was my first podcast, launched in 2012 when my friend Kenton Larsen and I decided to simply start recording our frequent conversations about movies, TV shows, advertising, journalism, and anything else under the media sun. After three years pf posting weekly episodes, we decided to spin off the Star Wars Nerds podcast as the global conversation about our favourite film franchise grew.
As a co-host and producer for these two podcasts, my weekly duties include:
– Planning conversational podcast content about media, pop culture and Star Wars news
– Recording both audio and video podcast episodes using professional quality broadcast equipment
– Editing episodes using Adobe Premiere Pro and Audition, adding sound effects, music and media clips in the process
– Composing show notes complete with time codes and relevant links
– Posting finished episodes to Spotify, YouTube, and Apple Podcasts, as well as distributing them across all major podcatching services and apps.
