The Interrupted Cut is my newest podcast. It is produced for Machinist X, an online support community for machinists and manufacturers around the world.
An interrupted cut is the moment the tool meets something it did not expect. Manufacturing has been one long interrupted cut — craftsmanship, industrialization, mass production, CNC, automation, and now AI. Every generation hits another lobe, and the industry finds its rhythm again.
This is a show for the people in the work: machinists, manufacturing engineers and shop owners. Real conversations about the trade, the frustrations, and the things everyone else dances around.
Podcast episodes are recorded by the client on Zoom. I then edit the video files for conversational flow and engagement, adding intro/outro music and transitions. I set up accounts on behalf of my client for all the major podcast platforms, write the episode descriptions and show notes, and post the episodes to Apple Podcasts, YouTube, and Spotify. I also cut three promo clips from each episode for sharing to various social media platforms.
